Louis Vuitton Haute Trunk

Exceptional Louis Vuitton monogrammed high trunk from 1913 in immaculate condition. Covered with a stencilled monogrammed canvas, this superb trunk is protected by lozine borders and is equipped with 2 leather handles. The clasps and nails are stamped Louis Vuitton, with the different addresses of the stores of the time engraved on the central lock. There are 4 wheels under the trunk, as well as the original customer's initials B.B on each side.

The leather loops to hold the reinforcement strap are still present, fixed on each side of the trunk, with the Louis Vuitton embossing stamped on them. We have the original strap of the luggage.

The interior of the trunk is in exceptional condition, with a compartment for storing hats, a hinged frame for shirt collars and/or ties, a place for small laundry, as well as a long frame for larger garments. Equipped with straps marked Louis Vuitton, these different compartments are still perfectly functional and in perfect condition.

There is also a pad inside the trunk, originally used by the client to hold family photos or envelopes. As soon as the trunk was opened, the client had to feel at home. The two labels of the Louis Vuitton manufacturer are glued in the hood, indicating the different addresses of the Louis Vuitton stores of the time (rue Scribe in Paris, London, Lille & Nice). The authenticity number of the trunk is indicated next to the right label. It is still possible at Louis Vuitton to order a key for its trunk, simply by indicating this number, as well as the number written on the lock.

Very good condition : The trunk is in perfect condition for its age, with some very fine marks on the outer canvas.

HIGH LOUIS VUITTON TRUNKS FOR WOMEN

Around 1860, Louis Vuitton created the first Trunks with lockers that, following the variations of fashion, we have never stopped modifying and improving.

The trunk with compartments includes :

1 - On one side, a cage for small hats or for shirts, blousses, veils, etc.

2 - On the other side, a double frame, the top of which is occupied by a basin with numerous partitions forming places for handkerchiefs, ties, ribbons, veils, ruffles, gloves, fans, laces, etc.. Under this bowl a large space for laundry.

We advise, for the ease of packing, to replace the bottom by an additional simple frame.
