Purchase, Sale and Restoration of Antiques Trunks and Travel Goods

Our Workshop

Our workshop in Normandy

We have been specialising in the restoration of antique travel trunks for 20 years

Our workshop

Located near Aigle, in Normandy, our workshop opens its doors to you to present a very particular know-how, combining the skills of the leatherworker, the upholsterer and the cabinetmaker.
Many antique trunks pass through our hands each week, to regain their former glory. We are committed to preserving the history of the luggage and are constantly looking for traces of its past during the restoration process. Without ever using protective varnish, we use special techniques to revive the outer coating, while preserving the patina of the time.

The tools

Trunk makers, trunk makers and packers used very specific tools and processes to make their trunks, chests and layettes. This is why we must constantly adapt, learn and master new restoration methods depending on the period, the brand and the condition of the luggage.
The tools mainly used then and now are very common tools, such as the hammer, the Alene, the pliers or the riveting tool. Whatever the stage of restoration or manufacture, these tools are indispensable for a trunk maker.

Our Projects

We regularly work with individuals and professionals to restore travel trunks. We try to take a photo before each project, so that we can present the result of our work as faithfully as possible. Before the validation of the estimate, we see with the owner all the steps of restoration, to ensure you a perfect transparency.
