Louis Vuitton trunk c.1923

Exceptional Louis Vuitton Mail Trunk from 1923, covered with a canvas coated stencil.

We find on this trunk all the characteristics of the excellence of the know-how of the house Louis Vuitton in the 1920s. Emblematic model of the brand, it is protected by lozine borders, and is equipped with a brass jewelry. The three clasps are stamped Louis Vuitton.

The initials A.L.S. of the original owner can be seen on each side, with two leather handles and four wheels signed Louis Vuitton. A yellow and black stripe is painted all over the trunk, family colors, originally used in 1900 to differentiate the different luggage from each other on the platform of a station.

The interior of the trunk is padded, to allow customers to store their family photos or letters. The trunk is fitted with two frames to store clothes, and the Louis Vuitton manufacturer's label is visible, indicating the various addresses at the time. The authentication number is written next to the label.
