Louis Vuitton black car trunk

Louis Vuitton car trunk "de pavillon" from 1906, covered with black waterproof vuittonite canvas.

The black canvas is directly sewn on the wooden barrel and a rubber groove is placed between the hood and the trunk to allow a perfect waterproofing of the trunk.

A "Louis Vuitton motor trunks" plaque is visible on each side, as well as two brass handles, originally designed to receive a strap for attachment to the roof of a car. The interior of the case is very clean, with the Louis Vuitton trunk maker's label and the serial number of the case.
